Wow... website magic...
Despite Joomla having an extensive network of developers etc and there are support forums etc, it has been at times difficult to get the information i've needed as there arent really "beginnner coding guides" beyond serious beginner - not helpful past the first few hours... alternatively they are developed by people who seem to know exactly what they are doing... its not really the place to ask why my footer is appearing in the top half of my page...
Beginners either uses a template that you find online at a template show or alternatively are sensible enough to get someone who is a developer to develop it for them. Firebug has really been my one consistent friend... thanks firebug!
Despite the pain i now have the website, while basic in structure and content at the moment the hard yards have been done. With a client who doesnt really know their needs at this time beyond the basics, it will at least enable them to update content in the CMS in the current strucutre and i will be able to continue to build functionality using plugins etc as they continue to define their needs once launched. Mission accomplished...
So i am starting on the report this week... and more pain continues.

Glad to hear your site is working, I wish I could say the same for my own! From what I have seem of it so far, it is very impressive and great that you have learnt so much from developing your own template ... lots of work. I am looking forward to seeing your end result.
