Developing a template for joomla has proven to be more complex then developing a straight html/css site... Trying to use the joomla based filing system properly and limitations with positioning which i am trying to overcome have been frustrating.

Getting there though - i have to the homepage looking more and more like i plan and the menu system sorted out... next will be the inner pages. Alastair I am afraid you'll be disappointed to hear that joomla loves positioning by tables... i realise this isnt what we want to use so i am experimenting with positioning at the moment to overcome this.

The draft system plan is out for comment at the moment and I am giving feedback this week.
